  Dear Sir,

 It is with great regret that we have been informed of the proposed relocation of the bus terminus on Wroot Road, Finningley to The Green, Finningley.

 We wish to object most strongly to this proposal which would eliminate two bus stops and isolate one third of our residents, many of whom are elderly and infirm.

 The lack of consultation on this matter signifies the negative attitude of  First bus company, supposedly a public service provider, to the needs of  those it should serve.

 The grave concerns of the residents of Finningley were strongly expressed at the recent Parish Council meeting and we wish to endorse the resolution taken at that meeting to urge First to seriously reconsider its decision in the light of the strength of  public opinion.

The needs of the villagers must be taken into consideration and to do this the bus route must be maintained in its present form.

Please be aware that we have contacted SYPTE and our ward councillors to seek their support in this matter.
